Stepping Stones – addressing homelessness with care and compassion
The Stepping Stones project is a fiscally sponsored project of the Lhaq’temish Foundation which currently manages two homeless shelters and one tiny home & RV location, with a full scale tiny home village set for construction to begin by the Spring of 2024.
Through an agreement with the Lummi Counseling Services, the Stepping Stones project offers safe, supported transitional housing for Lummi tribal members and their families, focused on recovery, stability and self-sufficiency.
The upcoming Eagle Haven Tiny Home Village project is being funded through generous donations from the Housing Trust Fund, the Lummi Indian Business Council and the Department of Commerce’s Communities of Concern and is in the final design stages. The homes will include all the amenities of a full-sized home and the site will include 24 tiny homes, centralized meeting/counseling, laundry and community space. Services will include counseling, supportive wrap-around care and family support.
Transitional services and shelter maintenance remain high priority and we welcome your donation to this important work.
